Open to all levels of riders and breeds of horses, the WDAFL offers many benefits including hosting an informational website, regional meet and greets, seminars, competitions and year end awards programs.

WDAFL Annual Show

WDAFL presents its Annual Show each year at a central Florida location, open to Junior, Amateur, Open and Exceptional riders. Whether a WDAFL member or a horseman in search of greater knowledge, this show weekend will offer something for everyone. The event features musical freestyle rides, gaited western dressage, sponsored Breed awards, vendors, and an exhibitor’s party. This Annual Show is judged by nationally rated officials. Supporters of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to attend. The event also hosts a raffle to benefit the Educational Grants that WDAFL offers throughout the year, as well as the Year End High Point Program.

High Point Awards program

The Western Dressage Association of Florida is offering annual High Point Awards for the highest scoring Open, Amateur, and Youth (under 18) horse/rider combinations, and High Point Awards for all levels as well. This affordable program is open to all Western Dressage Association of Florida members in good standing. The award program year is December 1 through November 30. There are divisions for Amateur, Open, and Youth riders. The cost is $25 per horse/rider combination per level (and $20 for youth). There are several levels to choose from: Intro, Basic, and Level 1 through Level 5.

Virtual/Online High Point Program

WDAFL has created a new High Point Program just for Online/Virtual shows.

These shows must be WDAA approved and the rider must be a WDAA/WDAFL member in good standing.

Scores must be submitted within 30 days of the show.

WDAFL Grant Program

WDAFL awards Educational Grants to its members for assistance for a Lesson or a Clinic. Funds for these grants come from the WDAFL Annual Show profits. The awarded grants will be between $50 to $100. We have also instituted three (3) Annual Show Attendance Grants, one in each category of open/professional, amateur and youth. These are $250 grants for first time Annual Show participants that have a financial need.

The Western Dressage Association of Florida offers a Rider Medal Program. The Rider Medal Program is open to all Western Dressage Association of Florida members in good standing.

To Participate: Must be a current WDAFL member and been a member when the scores were earned. Ride at WDAA recognized shows. Register below and include copies of the face sheet of the written test from the judge with the score, the date and location of the ride, the judge’s signature and the WDAA recognized show number.
