What a wonderful educational event we had on January 21! It was a gorgeous day at the Grand Oaks Resort in Weirsdale. Throughout the day, we had about 100 attendees learning about Western Dressage and getting a first look at some of the new WDAA 2017 Tests.
A tremendous amount of thanks needs to be given to our professionals, Cyril Pittion-Rossillon and Rachel Ory. They did a fabulous job with some of our members that brought their horses and had a lesson in front of our crowd in the morning. Also, much thanks to judge Brian McMahon who provided scoring of the demonstration tests and comments for all attendees to hear during the afternoon session. A special shout out goes to The Grand Oaks Resort for donating the use of their arena for this event.
The goal of the 2017 Board of Directors is to have at least one educational event per quarter this year. Please let a board member know if you have ideas for an educational event in the future. They would love to hear from you.
And, all of this was followed by a great WDAFL Annual Meeting. The Board was all ears listening to comments from members about the future direction of the association and thanks all of the attendees for their input. The culmination of the day was a fun social and WDAFL High Point Awards Dinner.
Take a look at the photos below from this great day!
And thanks to all for participating in their journey with WDAFL!
