The Western Dressage Association of Florida is offering a Rider Medal Program. The Rider Medal Program is open to all Western Dressage Association of Florida members in good standing.

To Participate: Must be a current WDAFL member and been a member when the scores were earned. Ride at WDAA recognized shows. Register below and include copies of the face sheet of the written test from the judge with the score, the date and location of the ride, the judge’s signature and the WDAA recognized show number.

  • Rider must be a current WDAFL member at the time of medal submission and at the time scores were earned.
  •  All scores submitted must be from WDAA judges, from WDAA recognized shows.
  • Scores from 2019 forward will be accepted.
  • Medals may be earned out of turn.
  • Medals may be earned on multiple horses.
  • All scores submitted must be 65% or higher with 1 test from each test level from test 4.
  • Scores for each medal submission (Bronze, Silver, Gold) level must be from 2 separate judges per test level with the exception of the Bronze medal submission. If turning in 2 scores from Intro and 4 from Basic, Intro will need at least one judge and Basic will need two. If turning in 6 scores for Basic, scores must be from 3 different judges.
  • Scores from online shows will not be counted.
  • Application and submission can be filed online or by mail.
  • Submit application, fee and score sheets at one time.
  • Submit one application per medal level.

Levels

  • BRONZE MEDAL: 2 scores from WD Intro along with 4 scores from WD Basic or 6 scores from Basic.
  • SILVER MEDAL: 3 scores from Level 1 along with 3 scores from Level 2
  • GOLD MEDAL: 3 scores from Level 3 along with 3 scores from Level 4

Our Bronze, Silver and Gold medals will be custom made conchos with the new WDAFL logo engraved on it. When a rider has earned all three medals, they will be eligible for a custom made belt buckle with the WDAA logo on it for a small additional fee.

When To File: file this application and send in all your qualifying score sheets when you have met all the requirements for each level.
