Thank you so much WDAFL for my education grant to attend my first ever Western Dressage Clinic! I have never had a western dressage lesson and I learned so much during the weekend with clinician, Heather Stalker. Heather was a wonderful instructor and helped me work on my contact and suppleness with my mare. I have trouble with my lope, so I spent the majority of the time working on getting my mare more relaxed in her lope work. I learned how to get my girl to engage her hindquarters more in all her gaits. We also worked on some geometry problems I was having with my serpentines. Overall, I learned SO many exercises that I could take home with me to continue my journey with my horse, Echo. The education I received was invaluable and I am so thankful for the grant that allowed me to attend the clinic as a rider. I do not get many opportunities to take lessons and further my education and this clinic was all I hoped for and more!!!!
