Business Description
Keystone Training is a boutique training program designed to access horses mentally and physically through a well rounded application of gymnastics and biomechanics resulting in confident, willing, and successful partnerships – both in and out of the show ring.
Description of Services Offered
Rachel’s training practice is designed to access horses mentally and physically through a well rounded application of gymnastics and biomechanics. She works to locate areas of resistance within the horse and chooses exercises to help dissolve those resistances. Horses learn the footwork that they need to know in order to transition and turn easily without leaning, and how to yield correctly to the riders aids. All things that a well broke horse is expected to take care of for its rider, but should never be taken for granted. She specializes in finishing horses for classical and western dressage, ranch riding and reining while staying true to what is best and most natural for the horse, unaffected by the latest styles or trends. Developing horses in a time tested and harmonious way is what drives her practice.

Western and/or Traditional Dressage Accomplishments
Rachel Ory is a lifelong horsewoman dedicated to the best horse practices that she has gathered over the decades. She spent the first ten years of her career riding reining horses and starting colts with Tom Pierson, who coached Rachel to many victories in the NRHA reining arena, and remans one of her closest mentors. Rachel took a year off of her practice in 2019 to work for Frank Barnett. There, she learned another perspective on starting young horses and gained classical dressage experience on a wide range of horses. Rachel still studies with Frank on her personal horses on a regular basis. Her most recent achievements have been with her AQHA mare, Jagalicious, a 2x AQHA Stakes World Champion, 3x WDAA World Champion, and USDF Silver Medal recipient. Rachel’s skill set is robust and is not confined to a single discipline; its all about finding what works best for each individual horse and rider.
